Rise of The Collective Sneak Peek
James cracked his neck from side to side, “If you wanted an ass whoopin’ all you had to do was ask boy. I’m going to teach you the meaning of respect. Follow me, punk.”
They walked through the far door to the left and went through the first door on the right. In the middle of the room they now stood in was a large practice mat. The two testosterone ridden combatants walked ominously onto the mat looking like they were both out for blood. James threw his combat knife -blunt end first- into the summon button causing a flood of spectators to file in and surround the mat. Cheering mixed with jeers filled the air which signaled James and Steve to start circling.
Steve started moving as though he was water and James looked quizzically at him, “What the hell are you doin’ boy? This is a straight out fight, not some high school dance!” James charged at Steve and before he knew what had happened he was flying through the air and slamming into the ground. Steve had side-stepped and used James’s own momentum to send him flying down to the mat.
James slammed his fists into the mat and jumped to his feet, he was charging again. Steve ducked his wide swing and flipped him again. James lay on the ground for a moment wondering what the hell was going on. Then he got up and tried to use a series of jabs and power punches to bring his opponent down. Unfortunately for him Steve was just too good, he blocked his punches like they were nothing and as the last punch flew a little off target Steve grabbed his arm. He parried around him to his back, gave him a hard chop to one of the pressure points in his neck and kicked him in the back. James fell to the ground unconscious and Steve bowed to his opponent to show his respect for the bout and it's combatants.
Steve waved over a couple of the now-silent men and got James to the Infirmary.
